You’re asking yourself a lot of questions, aren’t you? Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to create anything. But are you asking yourself these questions too?
I believe the answers to these questions will shape your future as a content creator because every destination needs a path (and every path has a destination), so with this in mind, let’s get to it!
Question #1: Why do you write?
Why do you do it? Do you do it because you want to get things out of your head? You do it because you must? You do it because you want to interact with others? You do it because you think it’s easy and cool? Did someone forced you to do it?
Every writer has a reason to write, don’t you think? And that reason will form and transform the style of that writer. This question helps you realize the reason you started the journey in the first place.
Question #2: What would you like to express with your writings?
What are the things that need to come out of you? What is so important to you that you have to release it into the world?
It doesn’t have to be important to people, but I guess that every piece of content has a certain importance to the creator since he/she spent some time to create it, so the answer to this question will shape a writer’s content. It helps you decide and form the path you are going to take in this journey.
Question #3: What is your long-term goal?
What would you like to achieve? What is your definition of success regarding to this?
Of course, it needs to be your own definition, not others, so you need to know where do you want to go. How would you know where to start and what path to take if you don’t know the destination?
I believe that together, these three questions (and, obviously, the answer to them) will help every writer form an own personal way of doing things. In addition to that, this will help you keep yourself on track when things get rough and you don’t seem to see any point of this.
In addition to these, which other questions should a writer ask to self?
